Aruba Enterprise for Decathlon

Managing processes digitally with advanced trust service solutions

The company

Manufacturer and distributor of sports goods Decathlon was founded in 1976 with the aim of offering customers equipment for most sports, with the best value for money.

The company, which employs more than 80,000 people across its worldwide network, operates primarily in two areas: on one side, studying, designing and manufacturing sporting goods, and on the other, selling products and services locally and online.

Requirements

Digital transformation, employee health and safety, sharing the value created with employees and encouraging corporate shareholders are the goals that drove Decathlon to adopt an in-house digital platform enabling it to dematerialize processes at the same time as promoting effective communication.

The solution

The company found the it was looking for in Digital Doc, a highly customized in-house consultation platform, which enables every employee to access important personal and corporate documents.

The solution identified has enabled Decathlon to make the best use of qualified, advanced technologies for dematerializing the documents involved in different processes, considerably streamlining flows as well as reducing the costs of document management.

The project

The main goal of the project was to provide a complete, integrated solution for managing document workflow.

The service, as well as the architecture on which it is based, is delivered on a fully outsourced basis: this means that the Decathlon ICT team can focus on its core activities, leaving the burden of management and maintenance to the Aruba Enterprise team.

Future developments
