Confidential Computing, trust begins with technological foundations.

The company

CanaryBit is a young, cutting-edge company dedicated to providing end-to-end data protection solutions to enable secure collaboration among organisations that want to retain exclusive sovereignty and control over their digital assets amid regulatory constraints, compliance needs, corporate policies, and reputational risks.

With its Confidential Cloud suite, CanaryBit safeguards data “in use”, an area where data traditionally is not encrypted, in mission-critical sectors such as aerospace and defence, automotive, energy, financial services, and other sensitive industries.

The requirements

To support the development and testing of its solutions in virtual environments that replicate those of its customers, CanaryBit needs modern, rapidly available physical servers. The initially chosen provider offered an insufficient number of machines with unsatisfactory customer support.

To manage a growing variety of configurations, the company therefore sought a new partner with a wide range of bare metal servers, particularly next-generation ones, that can be provisioned quickly and flexibly.

The solution

By choosing Aruba, CanaryBit found the provider it was looking for: access to a broad range of modern, technologically advanced machines, overcoming the limits of the previous provider. The high level of expertise and availability of customer support ensures simple and reliable procurement, allowing the CanaryBit team to focus on developing new solutions and technologies.

With Aruba, the company has been able to create a complete pool of setups on which to test its Confidential Computing solutions by replicating customers’ on-premises environments, relying on a single point of contact for everything needed. Aruba’s infrastructure certifications have also strengthened CanaryBit’s commitment to European sovereignty and transparency in the technology supply chain, consistent with the company’s “Made for Europe” and “EU Compliant” vision, an approach that is crucial for success in a market increasingly aware of and attentive to the residency and governance of digital assets.

"For our work it’s important to have different versions of the technology, and being able to finally rely on the ample availability of different types of machines helps us a lot. Aruba is the perfect partner for this, as well as for exploring future technological evolutions we are pursuing to continue guaranteeing our customers complete end-to-end security of their assets in a scenario that is evolving at an ever-faster pace. Stefano Cucchiella, co-founder and CTO, CanaryBit
