Aruba Enterprise for AZA Corporation

The company

AZA Corporation is a leading contractor specializing in the design, manufacture, installation and customization of facades for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. With over 100 years of valuable experience and expansion, AZA has established itself as a major player both in Italy and abroad, with a portfolio of internationally renowned projects.

Today AZA Corporation operates in a range of markets in Italy and Europe – mainly France, Luxembourg and Northern Europe – and the United States, with a turnover of more than 80 Mln €/year.

With a workforce of 260 employees, including 57 in the engineering and design department, AZA runs two production sites with a total surface area of 46,000m2, as well as a number of national and international offices and branches.

Requirements

More specifically, AZA was looking for an IT provider to entrust with its business management processes and to manage its ERP infrastructure in an external data center: this was the solution chosen by AZA's IT team, driven partly by the need to manage considerable volumes of data over a large number of servers, requiring high levels of scalability and reliability.

Another particular factor was that AZA, being a multinational company with offices both in Italy and abroad, had chosen to implement and develop an international ERP. As a result, having selected Microsoft Dynamics 365 as its management application, they also needed a cutting-edge infrastructure that was innovative and scalable, which would enable them to manage data as effectively and securely as possible.

The Solution

Faced with the challenges of managing huge volumes of data, AZA had already developed a highly detailed and carefully analyzed ad hoc project. After a careful selection process, the Enterprise division and their proposed solution stood out from the many different data centers and providers consulted and compared by AZA, as meeting their requirements perfectly.

Both the project to develop the Private Cloud to host AZA's ERP and the subsequent management of the section dedicated to Human Resources were entrusted to Aruba's Enterprise division. In particular, since July 2018, AZA has been using a Private Cloud solution, namely a Cloud that offers private use of computational resources and an enterprise-level service, fully compliant with required standards.

To complete the solution, a Cloud Backup solution was provided that means that the data on the production site within the Global Cloud Data Center is copied to a second Data Center - in Arezzo - thereby adding another level of data protection, made possible by the availability of a network of data centers across the country.
